The Tint Family & PPSC Faculty
Diversity Scholarships

In accordance with our commitment to building a more diverse, representative learning community, PPSC has programs in place to assist candidates from diverse backgrounds cover the costs of training. Beginning with generous donations from the family of PPSC alumna Barbara Tint dating from 2010, augmented since 2020 by annual gifts from members of the PPSC faculty and administration, these grants aim to cover the cost of the first three years of class tuition in our psychoanalytic programs. They are open to prospective candidates from historically under-represented populations within the psychoanalytic profession: persons of color, recent immigrants, and those who are the first in their families to undertake college education.

To be considered for a scholarship, applicants must:

  • Apply and be accepted into the 3 or 4 year program, then

  • Write a letter of interest to the Diversity Scholarships Committee, care of Executive Director David Pauley.

  • This letter should provide any information, supplemental to that contained in the Admissions application file, that might help our Committee understand the candidate's interest in a scholarship.

The scholarship application deadline is July 15, 2024.

As long as scholarship recipients maintain good academic standing -- are current with all Treatment Services responsibilities and paperwork, supervision and personal analytic requirements, and have up-to-date, passing grades in all classes, scholarships renew each year to cover a maximum of 24 classes, i.e., the first three years of the analytic programs. These scholarships are open to full and part-time students. Please note: they do not cover supervison or personal analysis.

Please feel free to contact David Pauley with any questions.
